Eataly
WE LOVE EATALY! With exceptional pizza and pasta, generous on the Campari for that Campari soda, this warm welcoming restaurant has a great fish pond and big play set to keep the kiddies busy while you munch away on that fresh oven bake pizza.
With its clean garden with the option of sitting out on the grass, or sitting inside with the gorgeous tree that the restuarant is built around, Eataly is a great option for eating out with the kids. Most kids love pizza and they have a wonderful selection of pizzas and pasta, and now even offer sushi! We know, sushi at an Italian restaurant? We’ve tried it and approved it! Take the kids for a playdate or meet up with other parents, let them feed the fish or play on the slide and ENJOY!
Copper Creek Spur aka Spur
The Spur chain of restaurants has been in Lusaka for a while and is located at East Park mall and Manda Hill Mall. This family-style steak house boasts a fantastic soft play area ( NO SHOES!) and fun activities for children. Colour in activity sheets for the table, a fun menu and other seasonal things to keep kids busy. They open quite early (7 AM!) and that makes us really happy :), they also offer space for birthday parties, so get the gang out there! The East Park branch was recently renovating and their play area was closed but be sure to visit the Mana Hill branch!
Mint Cafe / Mint Active
The Mint-Brand has several restaurants around Lusaka but these two definitely have a play area for kids.
Mint cafe is located on the grounds of the Lush Sandy’s Creation Garden centre, so it is cool, lovely and green. It boasts a little pond to look at the fishies, but please do not feed them. The playground is a few steps away from the garden seating area so you can sit and eat while you watch your little one plays.

Mozambik Pinnacle Mall
This restaurant with its delicious Afro Porto menu offers a closed soft play area with glass windows where you can watch your little ones play ( they also have a staff member there to keep the peace!).
They also provide activity sheets to keep the little ones busy, and most of all the huge paper tablecloth that is used is fun for kids to doodle as you wait for your food.
Other mentions - Cremosa , Chicagos Reloaded Restuarant that has a big play area, but no shade unfortunately ( yes, it’s a bar / lounge with a play area), Panarottis Pinnacle Mall right next to Mozambik , Orange tree - older wood play equipment, not very green,
